This week, I continue the history of voting rights. I also shatter a few myths, including the "progressive presumption." The history of voting rights offers perspective on what is happening today. As Faulkner said, "The past isn't dead. It isn't even past."
As for the McDaniel hullabaloo-I think NBC/MSNBC will lose viewers. I still watch 1-2 times a week, although after reading your series of essays my viewing decreased dramaticallly. As of the McDaniels announcement I quit recording ALL the MSNBC pundits, and won't even watch my favorite, Rachel Maddow. I posted on Facebook & other social media platforms, and several friends indicated they are quitting, also. I read that MSNBC has backed out of using McDaniels because of the backlash.
