A thought provoking post. I learned as a young mother that punishment as a deterrent didn’t work to change behavior, they just got better at not getting caught. Our society needs to rethink our punishment based system of justice. I am so saddened by the Hunter Biden trial and conviction. What purpose did this serve? Why were taxpayer dollars spent on this trial? How does his conviction protect society?
