Once upon a time, it would have never occurred to me that people would say, "A lawyer said it, so it must be true."
I mean, what about all those lawyer jokes?
Distinguishing legal facts from legal opinions is not easy. What makes it particularly difficult is that some lawyers confuse their own legal opinions with legal facts. But a confidently stated opinion is still an opinion.
